Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how South Limited ("Skin Craft", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use skincraft.app and the Skin Craft mobile applications (together, the "Services").

By using the Services you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Services.

Skin Craft is not an official Minecraft product and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft.

1. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or submit content. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom you must be at least 16, or the minimum age set by your country's law if it is lower.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. See Section 7.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Account information — your email address, username and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form; we never see your plaintext password.
  • Profile information — any profile image, display name or biography you add.
  • Content you submit — skins you upload, their titles and descriptions, comments, and anything else you post.
  • Community activity — accounts you follow, and skins you like or favourite.
  • Support messages — the name, email address and message you send through our contact form.
  • Purchases — if you order a custom skin, our payment processor collects your payment details. We receive confirmation of the transaction and your order details. We never receive or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and connection data, including IP address, browser type, operating system and device identifiers.
  • Usage data, including pages and skins viewed, dates and times of access, and actions taken on the Services.
  • Information collected through cookies and similar technologies — see Section 4.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to create and secure your account; host and display the content you share; operate community features such as following, liking and commenting; process custom skin orders and provide support; recommend skins and creators; prevent spam, fraud and abuse; understand and improve how the Services are used; display advertising as described in Section 4; and meet our legal obligations.

4. Your Content Is Public

Anything you upload to the community — skins, titles, descriptions, comments, your username and your profile image — is publicly visible. It can be viewed, downloaded and shared by anyone, including people without an account, and may be indexed by search engines.

Do not include personal information such as your real name, address, school, phone number or email address in anything you post publicly.

If you delete content we will remove it from public display, but copies may remain in caches, search engine indexes, or with people who downloaded it. We cannot retrieve those copies.

5. Cookies and Advertising

We and our partners use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, keep the Services secure, measure how they are used through third-party analytics providers, and deliver advertising.

Third-party advertising. We use Google AdSense to display advertising on the Services. In connection with this:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to the Services or to other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to the Services and other sites on the internet.
  • Other third-party vendors and ad networks may serve ads on the Services and may use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about your browsing activity across different websites over time.

How to opt out

  • Opt out of personalised advertising by Google at https://myadcenter.google.com
  • Opt out of personalised advertising by many other vendors at https://www.aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, at https://www.youronlinechoices.eu
  • Control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may stop parts of the Services working correctly.
  • On mobile, limit ad tracking through your device settings.

Opting out does not stop you seeing ads. It means the ads you see will be less relevant to you.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we use a Google-certified consent management platform to obtain your consent before using non-essential cookies or processing your personal data for advertising. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time through our cookie settings.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only:

  • With service providers — companies that host our infrastructure, store uploaded files, process payments, deliver email and provide analytics. They may access personal information only to perform services for us and are contractually restricted from using it for anything else.
  • With advertising partners — as described in Section 5.
  • Publicly, at your direction — content you post to the community, as described in Section 4.
  • For legal reasons — where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with a law, regulation or lawful request; to enforce our terms; to detect or address fraud, security or technical problems; or to protect the rights, property or safety of Skin Craft, our users or the public.
  • In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets. We will notify you before your personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

7. Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it and close the account as soon as reasonably possible.

Parents and guardians: if you believe your child under 13 has created an account or given us personal information, contact us at help@skincraft.app. We will verify your request, tell you what information we hold, delete it and the associated account, and stop any further collection.

8. Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where we need to keep it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse or enforce our agreements.

Content you posted publicly may remain visible if others have shared or downloaded it, as described in Section 4.

9. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed password storage and access controls limiting who can reach personal data. No system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password and contact us at help@skincraft.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

10. Your Rights

You can access and update most of your account information in your account settings, and delete your account at any time. For anything else, contact help@skincraft.app. We respond within the time required by applicable law.

New Zealand. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. You have the right to access and correct your personal information, and to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

EEA and UK. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. We process personal data to perform our contract with you (running your account and fulfilling orders), on the basis of our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention and improving the Services), with your consent (non-essential cookies and personalised advertising), and to comply with legal obligations. You may complain to your local supervisory authority.

California and other US states. We collect the categories of personal information described in Section 2: identifiers, commercial information, internet and network activity, and inferences drawn for advertising. Our use of third-party advertising cookies may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. You have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. To opt out, adjust your cookie settings, use the opt-out links in Section 5, or email help@skincraft.app. We honour Global Privacy Control signals. Residents of other US states with comparable laws have similar rights and can use the same contact address.

11. International Transfers

We operate from New Zealand and use service providers located in the United States and elsewhere, so your information will be transferred to and stored in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or the UK we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will post a notice on the Services or email the address associated with your account before they take effect. The date at the top shows the most recent revision.
